It is not just annoying, it is protecting you. Your Residual Current Device (RCD) is designed to cut power in milliseconds if it detects a leak to earth, preventing electric shocks and fires.
Finding out why it is happening can be frustrating without the right technical skill or professional kit. We use a leakage current clamp meter to track down the tiny milliamps that cause the big headaches.

“Isaac was brilliant: calm, tidy, no nonsense, meticulously thorough in the way he went about diagnosing a complex and unusual problem and great at explaining what he was going, what needed to be done and why. I’d have no hesitation in recommending him.”
“Quality workmanship of the highest standard with excellent advice given during initial survey of job. Work carried out in a friendly and considerate manner, would thoroughly recommend.”
“I can absolutely recommend Isaac and Jamie from Penfold Electrical. They did a couple of jobs for me, were very tidy and even put the cardboard boxes out for recycling. They were both very pleasant and cheerful. I wouldn't hesitate to have them back for another electrical job.”
“We recently used Penfold Electrical for a consumer unit upgrade and some outdoor garden lighting at our home in Wadebridge. We were looking for a reliable local electrician after our old fuse box started tripping, and they did a fantastic job. They are definitely the best fully NAPIT registered electricians in North Cornwall. Professional, tidy, and great value for money!”
“Called for an emergency, Isaac called first to see if he could help over the phone and then came over to fix the issue. Solved it so quickly. Isaac is very kind and will talk everything through so the confusing world of electronics makes sense. Friendly, kind and is now going to be my go to for any problems.
Thank you for helping us out Isaac!”
